"8 WILL A MAN ROB GOD? YET YE HAVE ROBBED ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? IN TITHES AND OFFERINGS."
{In The Lord's Church, which in these latter-days is called, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, besides} "TITHES" { there are several} "OFFERINGS"" {such as, Fast Offerings, General Missionary, Ward Missionary, Humanitarian Aid, and Other.}
"OFFERINGS" {are optional (voluntary) but } "TITHES" {are a commandment and a sin if not paid.}
"9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation."
"10 BRING YE ALL THE TITHES INTO THE STOREHOUSE, that there may be meat in mine house, AND PROVE ME NOW HEREWITH, SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS, IF I WILL NOT OPEN YOU THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN, AND POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING, THAT THERE SHALL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT."
"11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith The Lord of Hosts."

{Tithing, or the giving of 10% to The Lord, is not going to kill any person to pay it. But if The Lord does truly} OPEN YOU THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN, AND POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING, THAT THERE SHALL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT," {Imagine all the forces of good working for you... this is a tremendous blessing. A young mom was divorced from her husband. When she came to her stake president, the man who officiated her wedding, all he told her was to pay tithing. Life was not easy, but she was able to get by in life and received the necessary help she needed to sustain her and her son. Now, her son is about to graduate from college. The Lord provided for them because she followed The Law of Tithing.}

"WHEN THOU HAST MADE AN END OF TITHING ALL THE TITHES OF THINE INCREASE the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;." --- [Dueteronomy 26: 12 - Bible]
{Tithing is used in the management of the affairs of the church, such as buildings, meeting houses, temples, to fund the Church's missionary and education efforts, etc. Fast Offerings are used to help the poor and the needy.}

{Tithing is just a part of the many laws we need to obey in order to be approved by God.}

{Although there is a standard 10% that all tithe payers must pay in order to keep the commandment, this 10% will be different for a rich person compared to a poor person. Nonetheless, rich or poor, it is not the amount we give, but the faith we put into our 10% Tithes and whatever Offerings we offer to God.}
