"SPEAK NOT EVIL ONE OF ANOTHER, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of The Law, and judgeth The Law: but if thou judge The Law, thou art not a doer of The Law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy; WHO ART THOU THAT JUDGEST ANOTHER?" --- [James 4: 11-12 - Bible]

"JUDGE NOT, AND YE SHALL NOT BE JUDGED; CONDEMN NOT, AND YE SHALL NOT BE CONDEMNED; FORGIVE, AND YE SHALL BE FORGIVEN." --- [Luke 6: 37 - Bible]

{Note: The following two scriptures are started within each scripture (the pertinent part of the verses for our purposes here)}

"FOR WITH THE SAME MEASURE THAT YE METE WITHAL IT SHALL BE MEASURED TO YOU AGAIN" --- [Luke 6: 38 - Bible]

"5 Thou hypocrite!FIRST CAST OUT THE BEAM OUT OF THINE OWN EYE; AND THOU SHALT SEE CLEARLY TO CAST OUT THE MOTE OUT OF THY BROTHER'S EYE." --- [Matthew 7: 1-5 - Bible]

"A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. THE WORDS OF A TALEBEARER ARE AS WOUNDS, {Gossip can sometimes get back to the person who is being gossiped about and the words that were said can be} "AS WOUNDS," {sometimes to the killing of the person's soul: The number one reason people fall away from The Church is because someone said something they didn't like or appreciate: Someone offended them ...} "and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly." {The bad words are digested and fester and corrupt their soul until the person becomes inactive or even apostasizes ...} --- [Proverbs 18: 7-8 - Bible]

{Just because you know something about someone doesn't mean you have to reveal it to others who have no authority over the person whom you know something about.

Also, to consider in this matter is that perhaps the person has already repented of the matter, or the matter is in the past. For example, perhaps you know that a person was excommunicated ten years ago. But he is now a member of The Church again. Which means he repented. Who are you to tell other church members that the man was excommunicated ten years ago! The past is the past. Let it stay the past if there is no valid reason to bring it up again.}

" Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out; so WHERE THERE IS NO TALEBEARER, THE STRIFE CEASETH." --- [Proverbs 26: 20 - Bible]

" WHOSO KEEPETH HIS MOUTH AND HIS TONGUE KEEPETH HIS SOUL FROM TROUBLES." --- [Proverbs 21: 23 - Bible]

"17 LET NO CORRUPT COMMUNICATION PROCEED OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BUT THAT WHICH IS GOOD TO THE USE OF EDIFYING, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." --- [Ephesians 4: 29 - Bible]

" IF ANY MAN AMONG YOU SEEM TO BE RELIGIOUS, AND BRIDLETH NOT HIS TONGUE, but deceiveth his own heart, THIS MAN'S RELIGION IS VAIN." --- [James 1: 26 - Bible]

"And many more things did the people imagine up in their hearts, which were foolish and vain; and they were much disturbed, for Satan did stir them up to do iniquity continually; yea, HE DID GO ABOUT SPREADING RUMORS AND CONTENTIONS upon all the face of the land, that he might harden the hearts of the people against that which as good and against that which should come." --- [ Helaman 16: 22 - The Book of Mormon]
